·         The Anju Ancient City is prosperous in its scholarly culture. From the Song Dynasty (AD 960-1279) to the Qing Dynasty (AD 1636-1912), there were a total of 25 Jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations), 71 Juren (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations at the provincial level), among which there were also six Hanlin (academician). The folk performance of Hanlin’s visit to their families reproduces the scene that a Hanlin, whose family name was Wang, paid visit to his family when he was appointed the official position.
