Yinfeng Gate

The Yinfeng Gate was originally named the East Gate, and the time of its first construction cannot be verified. Built of stone during Emperor Chenghua’s reign in the Ming Dynasty, it is one of the existing well-preserved ancient city gates. Walking out of the Yinfeng Gate to Ping Bridge, the Wumu Brook abounds with willows on both sides, winding mossy paths lead to a secluded quiet place, and Mount Tai God’s Temple leads to the ancient Feiyang Mountain. With paramount elegance, ridges and peaks look like trying to release themselves and fly into the expanse, especially like a flying phoenix. A stone platform at the top of the mountain is like a phoenix tripod, facing the Guanzi Mountain in west Anju from afar. An ancient poem versed that:

Nine pods fly to approach the pine pass, spiritual wonders in the universe are contained here;

The best place to plant a green tree is in a pavilion, a good name is to be the first one to hit the mountain;

Qin flute and bassoon are rated as two superb instruments, which can be reflected by beautiful music from the Gou Mountain;

I'm getting old before my virtue declines, like chasing after the smoke every day.

Therefore, the ancients believed that the mountain and scenery had brought together spiritual energy of the heaven and earth, so they renamed Feiyang Mountain as Feifeng Mountain and East Gate as Yinfeng Gate.
